Miles at Dog House Adoptions

Miles at Dog House AdoptionsBlack Lab / Basset Blend
Male, roughly 2 years old
Neutered and fully vaccinated

Hi! I’m Miles, an adorable Labrador in the face  and Basset everywhere else – thus a Bassador! And I’m adopted!

True to lab form, Miles and his tennis ball are inseparable. True to Basset form, when his little legs whirl his body around after said tennis ball, it’s just too cute for words.

When Miles was brought in from Pittstown on July 25, 2011, he was extremely thin. Thankfully, it didn’t take long to get this fun-loving  dog into ship-shape health. Miles LOVES to work for food! Of course, this love of food gets training off without a hitch. Miles wants to please, always, but treats give him all the motivation in the world to learn new things. Prior hunger may drive his need to guard the dinner dish, but we’re teaching Miles to trust that dinner is his alone.

Miles is all about the girls. That’s right. He gets along with female dogs swimmingly. Boy dogs? Did we mention that Miles is all about the girls?

All in all, Miles loves people! And you’ll love him too. He’s house trained, easy to handle, and ready to fetch that tennis ball in your own back yard!

ADOPTED!

One day shy of a year in rescue, Miles finally found his forever home with Megan, Ed and their boys. His new name is Dator after Dale Earnhart, the race car driver otherwise known as the Intimidator. Apparently our little Dator goes after what he wants and lets nothing get in his way! According to his Nascar fan pet parents:

Dator is doing wonderfully!  What a good boy he is.  We are just in love! He’s had visitors to the house and he’s gone visiting, he’s even been on a boat ride and he’s loved it all!  I believe we hit the jackpot with that little guy.
